Manizales

My city, is the capital of the department of Caldas. It is the city that saw me born and the one I saw being born.

Because, while still being a young rabbit, I am as old or older than Manizales. With a strategic location in the center-west of Colombia, Manizales is in the heart of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, on the Central Andes Mountain range, near the imposing snowcapped Nevado del Ruiz. My Manizales has a population of 454,077 inhabitants, all of them my nephews.

Manizales was founded in 1849 by settlers from Antioquia who passed by mule or foot in front of my farm. Manizales is a city with economic, industrial, cultural, and tourist activities such as the Manizales Fair, the Manizales International Theater Festival, which gives it the title of the essential theatrical city in the history of Colombia, and the Manizales Grita Rock Festival.

My Manizales is also known as the "City of the Open Doors", "Mi Manizales del alma", "La Perla del Ruiz", "The Capital of Affection", “The Sunset Factor y” and "The World Capital of Coffee."

My "raison de vivre"

Together with my family, we founded a family company farm to remind everyone that we came to be happy during our lives.

We do this through the specialty coffees we produce and the tourism experiences at my 40-acre coffee farm, located just 25 minutes from downtown Manizales.
